Dockers!
Just finished watching the Dockers skin Port, in Adelaide. No Tredrea, fair enough, but if the Dockers can play games like that and get good wins away from Subi, they will be tough to beat out of a finals spot. Even when Port was charging home, with the crowd behind them, the Dockers were smooth, calm, and polished out of defence, and, aside from the abysmal first quarter, good on goal from all over.
Bell and Pavlich led superbly; they just seemed to be in the right place in the tough times. Johnson, Parker, Hayden and Mundy were strong out of the back, and Farmer gave McPharlin one of the best goals I've ever seen with a string of handballs from the pocket.
I reckon Sandilands needs to clear the ball better from the rucks sometimes, but hey, it's a little thing.
Jake, do you still have Dockers season tickets? Hang on to 'em.
