Ow. Broke my promise to keep writing on this thing, but only because I suddenly got shot down with a cold and drank too much at the all-u-can-drink wine night at Rengaya and became unable to string togther a sentence. All-u-can-drink is such a blessing and curse at the same time. It dares you to push your limits ridiculously, to redefine that little word "can". Even after several bottles, I still feel for some reason that because my ever-expanding stomach can
physically fit more alcohol, I won't get my 30 bucks worth unless I drink til I drop.
It was actually a really fun night. Despite most of the patrons being over 40, there were some interesting conversations, and a guy forgave me when I spilled red wine all over his jeans while in some argument over... fuck, what were we even talking about?
Next day kills. Woke up with a deadly hangover, slept til 4, then my headache went away but my stomach was killing me. Plus the whooping cough. Had a date to have dinner with a girl who'd just got back from Australia, and it was juice all night. Never tasted better.
But anyway, here are some photos from Okinawa, Day 1. We rented a little car, set the navi, and let the radio tell us how to get to Nago.
Stopped by at some places of historic/aesthetic interest on the way, the Nakamura House (old Okinawa-style home) and the Nakagusuku Castle, which was very empty.
